The Auto Close feature is a new addition to OneClick! By turning on the Auto Close feature in the Preferences dialog box, OneClick will automatically close the current palette if you open a new palette from the current palette.
The Auto Close feature is handy if you want the current palette to close in order to free up memory for the new palette to open. The Auto Close feature only works when a palette icon is opened from another palette.
Example:
Tammy routinely opens task specific palettes from her Master palette, and prefers to have her Master palette close automatically when the new palette opens. To have her Master Palette close automatically any time the MasterPalette opens another palette, Tammy turns on the Auto Close option in the Master palette's Preference box. Now whenever Tammy clicks on a Master palette's tile that contains a palette icon, the Master palette will close and the selected palette will open.
Holding down the Option key while clicking on any icon tile (not just palette icons) will also Auto Close the palette. Option-Clicking works independent of the Auto Close Preference being turned on in the Preferences dialog box (See "Using Special Modifier Keys..." for more information on Option-Clicking ). Option-clicking on empty tiles has no effect.
